Being born into royalty isn't fun and games.
They were born with blue blood, from the crib to their early teens following the protocols someone from the monarchy must abide to. They are heirs, important for their countries, treated with care and kept out of harm's way.
Sometimes Amara feels like the palace is her own golden cage, she wants the freedom any commoner has to make her own choices. She wants to make mistakes. Lilith is the only one who understands having grown up in the same confinement as she did.
Lilith makes Amara wish for a life where they can hold hands without putting the needs of the many first. Amara wants to stay with Lilith. She wants to make that one mistake more than anything.

Anna and Charlie make offerings to the river spirits.
Anna's big idea to have a water cleansing and become one with the river flow had Charlie joining her with great interest. Anna's barefoot like she prefers and her dress is wet and clinging to her body. Charlie marvels at her glistening skin, mouth open.
"The river spirits are happy," Anna says.
"I bet."
"Want to know what'll happen later?" Anna asks like she knows where Charlie's thoughts are. She probably does. Charlie wants to touch so badly, feel Anna's magic and skin.
Charlie presses a soft kiss to Anna's cheek, and says, "Leave the future this time to me."
