Gwen takes her up, up, up. MJ's hair blowing in the wind and her laughter caressing the nape of Gwen's neck. Both filled with childish giddiness, soaring. When they're on top of the roof Gwen takes off her mask revealing her blue irises.
"Thank you," Mary Jane says, taking her hand and kissing her sweetly soft.
"No need. This is all for you, Em," Gwen answers.
Mary Jane runs and giggles carefree, light, and Gwen does the same catching up with her. Holding Mary Jane. Together they watch the New Year's fireworks, wrapped together against the New York cold.
