My Star, My Satellite (100 words)
Charlie/Jo, Space
Summary: There's an undiscovered region of space, and it's Charlie's and Jo's job to explore it. Together.
They say in space no one can hear you scream, or maybe that was just a movie tagline. Charlie isn't so sure right now. Earth was falling behind them, and she found herself looking for Jo among the crew members, their fingers lacing together when they were next to each other.
Her thirst for adventure made her join the exploration team, Jo made her stay. Both want to discover, see uncharted territory, leave a footprint behind.
Jo squeezes her hand harder, earth is so far away now.
Maybe Charlie's screams can't be heard, but her heartbeats sure makes a statement.
And It Comes Haunted! (200 words)
Charlie/Jo, Ghosts
Summary: Charlie's roommate just happens to be a ghost.
Charlie is left powerless on Friday night because of the downpour outside. Her apartment left in shadows. She closes her laptop and puts it aside heaving a sigh, her plans for binge-watching Netflix obviously ruined. She leaves her bed to look for lamps and some batteries, and as she's kneeling down in front of the closet looking for them, she hears the floorboards creak behind her.
Shivers run down her spine, this time it's not from the cold. Yet, she smiles as she's turning around.
Jo is right there. Visible and almost tangible. They've got to thank the thunderstorm brewing outside for that.
"Long time no see," Charlie says.
Jo shrugs, answering, "It's been like a week, Char. So you free tonight?"
By now Charlie has gotten used to living with a ghost. A lovely ghost with an attitude at that.
"Care to join me for a game of Uno?"
Jo seems to meditate Charlie's proposition.
"Unless you're afraid of losing."
"Oh come on, I can and willl kick your ass."
Charlie chuckles.
On nights like these being earthbound stops being unwelcome and Jo begins to appreciate life in a different way. Lit by a couple of lamps, they play.

I liked the second one, too. They really seem like they'd click in whatever realm and form. ♥
