Title: Wind Up Girl
Fandom: Supernatural
Pairing: Bela/Jo
Rating: PG
Word Count: 206
Summary: Jo has a problem with her mechanical hand.
Bela pushes the glasses farther up her nose, the manual is written in a language she can't translate. Thankfully, there are pictures which could be helpful. She can make it work.
Jo is sitting on the table, legs moving restlessly and eyes intent on Bela.
"Think you can fix it?" Jo asks cradling her left arm, wires visible through the copper joints.
Bela puts her hand on Jo's legs and stills their movements. Fingers reaching the hem of her skirt. "I think so, it was a small malfunction on the mechanism. I need to repair some of the rotors and you'll be good to go."
"Great, I feel like a broken doll with my arm like this." She stares at said arm, a sorrowful look passes over her features. Bela gets it, it mustn't be easy for someone as active as her to have an arm that won't respond.
Bela drags her fingers down and up Jo's leg, placing a kiss on her knee. "It'll be fine, soon we'll go back out there. There's still a ship we need to catch."
Jo's mood seems to lift at her words, a shine in her eyes. "Oh, and we'll sail higher up than ever."
It is a promise.
